The theme for 2022 will be released in January- we cannot wait to find out what it is and to then decide what we will create.  Watch this space everyone...

2021

In 2021 the theme was gratitude.

Y6 displayed the sleeping child sized sculpture they created collectively out of modroc. 

The children had looked at the drawings of Henry Moore during his time as a reporter in the second war world war, particularly his focus on people taking shelter in the underground during the air raids.  

While the times and experiences were very different, the children reflected upon how people come together in hard times. They had experienced the effects of the Covid 19 pandemic.  Children had experienced loss, anxiety and being separate.  There was still thanks for the incredible NHS, their families, friends and school. 

The sleeping child is peaceful because of those very things.
